71 – Doomsday Pt.4

coverblack[Recorded February 2017, August 2017, October 2019, December 7, 2019]  Defeating Doomsday.

BTS: This pre-recorded episode was assembled shortly after Part 3, but was never happy with it.  While waiting on inspiration, it was decided to stop trying to resuscitate recordings from 2017.   Forewarning, the concluding Part 5 is probably never coming and this Doomsday series is abandoned for now.  Nonetheless as this episode was already completed it’s finally being published.  However, a NEW mini-series is already in production, the first episode will be published Friday.

Answers, insights, and commentary on:

  • Why didn’t Batman bring the spear to Doomsday instead?
  • Why didn’t Batman immediately go for the spear?
  • Why didn’t Superman defer to Wonder Woman?
  • And more poor questions…

  1. Nice! What a great Quadrilogy of episodes! Too bad that part 5 is never coming out, but I think that you nailed it and said it all, as usual.

Also, I ordered my MOSAIC T Shirt last month but because of the quarintine, it hasn’t arrived yet, given that my country is on a lock down. anyways, good things come to those who wait right? Kind of like your episodes.

Also Firday? Really? Woooow! Can’t wait!

thanks for your work man, may you and all your family stay healthy and well during these times.

    • Thanks Andy, I’m always happy to hear from you!

Part 5 was threatening to become Part 6+ with all the stuff I wanted to add and re-record and decided to just let it go. If it comes back it’ll be a totally new recording. For now, I’m done trying to make the 2017 recordings fit together when they don’t. I recorded a Joker episode about movements, but on playback didn’t think it’s my place to comment. If I can responsibly back it with more sociological research I’ll put it out.

That said, one of the things in my notes that I didn’t get to record back in my Ultimate Cut and Kryptonite Spear episodes, was all my material on The Spear of Destiny and Excalibur. At first, I tried to work it in, but inspired a new mini series that I’m more excited to do (even if I maybe don’t get to those notes again, we’ll see, ha). I waited until I had at least a few episodes of material before publishing so you get a complete series. I hope you enjoy it. It was another “level up” for my love for MOS & BvS.

We’re well, but ironically more busy than normal. My job has a lot of client interaction and now the clients have nothing but time to interact, haha.

Thanks for your support listening and with the shirt, I hope you get it when the time comes. May you and yours be well as well!

  2. Another episode on Friday? You’re spoiling us, Doc. It would actually be Saturday over here.

    Best Wishes
    John

  3. The Wonder Woman complaint always gets on my nerves. As if Clark is going to go “Excuse me, woman I’ve never met before and whose powers I can only guess at. Would you mind switching out your sword and shield for a different weapon that i don’t know if you’re skilled at using, and then putting yourself into prolonged direct exposure with the monster which can kill either of us? I know asking you to risk your own life isn’t heroic, but it just seems like the logical thing to do.”

    • Haha, believe me, I feel you. Part of the reason part five recordings were hard to make workable… they are too annoyed, sarcastic, and spend too much time ranting.

The funny thing is that you just need to literally watch the sequence to dispel most of it, but since most of the objections are theory, I try to meet them where they’re at but it’s exhausting and difficult to do fairly (so they felt heard and not attacked).
