  1. My biggest question on first viewing TSC was what was going on with the “lost planet” and Anti Life but the second viewing answered that. My 2nd biggest was when this movie was taking place. And what that means for the 2 previous Snyder films. Well, here we are.

Bold prediction. Snyder will find a way to include a version of the GL scene for the charity screenings around fall. He is clearly not letting that one go. I would pity WB if they didn´t have it coming.

    • My first questions were, of course, all Superman related! But villain and timeline stuff was next which is why I went there. Next episode should be more literary less logical apologetics. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Is there any chance of these podcasts being uploaded to YouTube? All my other podcast are there now and it really helps to have them all in one place. I almost forgot about this podcast. I listened to it years ago and have wondered where it went, despite getting the e-mails 😅. I don’t use iTunes, anymore, so it’s been harder to keep up with it 😕.

    • Thanks for listening Adam. I’m sorry we lost track of you! It’s not on YouTube because there’s no real visual component and because I use so many clips copyright strikes are a hassle. If you check https://pod.link/920711642 there are about a dozen different platforms you can listen on and hopefully one works for you.

      • It’s your choice, of course, but I know some of them will choose a single picture (or make a collage) that represents the subject being discussed (like the cover of a comic being discussed, or a collage of the covers of all the comics being discussed, a favorite panel, the channel logo etc.) And just play the audio of the podcast. That could be an option, at least. I only really follow podcasts on YouTube now, lol 😅 🤷🏻‍♂️.

  3. I was cleaning out my bookmarks folder in my browser and saw that I still had your site saved. I’m guessing you’ve retired this podcast? For what its worth, I really loved listening to your analysis.

Have you ever given any thought to doing a retrospective episode on your overall thoughts on the entire DCEU film canon? For me, the only ones that still hold up are the three Snyder films plus the first Wonder Woman film. But there are elements to the other films that I like to varying degrees.

I’m especially curious as to your thoughts on the Flash movie. I seem to remember you saying that Flash was your favorite DC character, so I think it would be interesting to hear your thoughts. I personally liked it quite a bit on first viewing (I wasn’t expecting to like it at all), but it holds up less and less to subsequent re-watches (unlike the Snyder films which are about as air tight logical as you can get with fantasy material like this, there are too many lapses in narrative logic in The Flash for my tastes).

I’m also curious about your thoughts on the new Superman film and the beginnings of the Gunn-verse. Personally, I didn’t hate it (which is a big deal since I haven’t like anything that James Gunn has done before), but I didn’t love it either. A solid C-plus. I feel strongly that every film should be judged on its own merits based on what it intended to achieve, but since it’s a new riff on the Superman mythology, it’s almost impossible to not compare it to other Superman films. And for me, watching it after the Justice League Trilogy is a lot like watching Johnny Dangerously after watching The Godfather Trilogy. They’re both gangster movies, and there’s nothing inherently wrong with Johnny Dangerously, but it doesn’t have near the same level of complexity and depth that The Godfather films do. That’s pretty much how I felt about Superman 2025. A mostly pleasant diversion that doesn’t inspire any desire to think more deeply about it. It was visually pretty to look at though (which, again, is something since I’ve found most of James Gunn’s previous work to be pretty visually banal).

Anyway, even if you never record another episode, this was a great podcast series. Kudos.
