MOSAIC T-Shirts (July 2-22)

MOSAIC Fundraiser

Hello friends, it’s Doc, asking you to consider giving a donation or buying at t-shirt to keep manofsteelanswers.com up and the MOSAIC podcast going.  Your contributions are greatly appreciated.  If you’d like a shirt, they’re available from July 2 to 22.  (International orders are OK!)

The purpose is to cover costs. After 5 years, it’s time to renew hosting and the fundraiser will determine what package and terms I can commit to.

I use libraries, free software, and budget hardware. I lost video editing software license with a machine crash, but haven’t replaced it. Other things add up like storage, research materials, time, etc. However, this fundraiser is solely for hosting.

I appreciate any help you can give.  Thank you!

  1. Shirt ordered. I hope this help, Doc. Thank you for the last 5 years of content and hope for many more to come. Another 2-hour podcast just in this month? You are a machine Doc. Are you planning to do one for Joker in October?

    • Thanks John, not a machine just taking a break from teaching this Summer so a little extra time. I haven’t been following Joker because there have been hints of heavy spoilers out there and I’d rather form my own impressions rather than go in with too many expectations. From what I know it’s supposed to be cultural commentary so I’d probably do an episode on it if it resonates with me. My impression is that this may be the most psychologically consistent Joker on film… the randomness of other portrayals makes it more difficult to make meaningful commentary on them where you don’t rely on insanity as a crutch for causation. Maybe. Joker is one of those characters I don’t like, but I’ve probably read more and enjoyed more Joker-in-fiction than, say… two-out-of-seven of the Magnificent Seven Justice League. He just has that much impact, clout, and compelling stories. A film with that many credible creators, I have to watch it!

Thanks again for your support. The episode was already recorded so I didn’t get to give you, Ilya, and Angelo shout-outs, but I will next ep!
